Detailed description of the project

The works carried out included two projects: “Storage and Regulation Deposits and Upstream Distribution Networks at Muro de Alcoy” and “Storage and Regulation Deposits and Upstream Distribution Networks at Alquerías de Aznar”, between the two projects, the joint treatment system for treated water was implemented at the Font de la Pedra WWTP (Muro de Alcoy) so that a design flow rate of 7,500 m3/d could be available for various uses (e.g. …), both at Muro de Alcoy and Alquería.

The (joint) works have consisted of:
* Depot of Muro1. It is a semi-buried reinforced concrete tank of 5,160 m3, divided into two roughly equal chambers.
* Deposit of Alquerías. It is a semi-buried reinforced concrete tank of 3,780 m3, divided into two roughly equal chambers. It includes a re-pumping to the Muro2 tank and a fire-fighting unit.
* Depot of Muro2. It is a semi-buried reinforced concrete tank of 1,500 m3, divided into two equal chambers. It includes a fire-fighting group.
* Pipes in high
– Connection of the WWTP to the Muro1 tank; through 266 ml of ductile cast iron pipe DN-300
– Connection of the connection to the Alquerías tank; through 266 ml of ductile cast iron pipe DN-300
– Connection of the Alquerías tank with the Muro2 tank; through 1940 ml ductile cast pipe DN-300
